glowing in community
transformed identities
we walk on broken pavement
our eyes perplexed
on the distance ahead
though we pass by life
we seem to care less
dimmer now our shining beam
the less light we have
the less we believe
our minds consumed with
an obsession of me
then what becomes of community?
it fades out with the love
it fades out with the light
it is hidden from those who walk on by.
